Mr. James’ experience and education provide unique perspective on his clients’ needs.
Before obtaining his law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Mr. James spent eleven years in the banking industry. As a banker, he counseled clients on credit structures, cash management, and other financial tools that helped grow their business. Carrying that experience forward, Mr. James now advises clients who are starting a business, buying or selling a company or partnership interest, dissolving an entity, or need guidance concerning all manner of other transactional items—including oil and gas, real estate, and estate planning matters.
Because Mr. James also represents clients in litigation related matters, he understands the importance of analyzing and minimizing his clients’ liability risk on the front end, before a dispute arises. If and when a dispute does arise, Mr. James brings his business understanding and responsiveness to serve his clients’ needs in litigation.
